Balance Equine Services Resident Dressage Instructor Louisa Hagedorn www.balanceequineservices.com.au
Following extensive experience in the USA training with some of the world's top coaches and riders, Louisa is now back home in West Gippsland, based at AOKH in Warragul.
Having managed a dressage barn and trained dressage horses in California, USA 2005-2007, Louisa trained with world class trainers such as Kelley Mills (USA), Joaquin Orth-Balschat (GER), Ricardo Aguilar (MEX), Susan Derr Drake (USA) and Christiane Noelting (USA) to help further her knowledge from local trainers Jill Bradford, Marianne Meyer and Ron Patterson.
Regular competing and attending clinics throughout California and Victoria helped build knowledge and continue her education of everything equine from basic dressage through to FEI movements, biomechanics, tension-free riding, nutrition, feet, basic equine acupressure and more.
"The training I do with any horse and rider combination comes from a 'whole horse' perspective. Having had a solid foundation from years at Drouin Pony Club, plus years of working with local as well as international coaches, I have learned a lot of new skills to help other riders and their horses.
Encompassing 'corrective riding', nutrition, feet, conformation and body issues, I work with the horse and rider to find a complete package, presenting a balanced whole horse to work with. Though the training is in a classical dressage format, the horses I may find myself working with could be from any equine discipline. It's not important what they are classified as; it's only important that they are able to use their body for maximum potential in their chosen field.?
Louisa is available for lessons, clinics, bodywork, re-education and training of horses at AOKH.
